Alpharetta invites locals to showcase scarecrow creations in landmark 20th harvest celebration

Alpharetta, Georgia – As the 20th Annual Scarecrow Harvest approaches, downtown Alpharetta is getting ready for one of its most popular fall events. More than 100 handcrafted scarecrows will flood the streets from October 8 to November 2. Each one is meant to provide a little fun, creativity, and community spirit to the center of the city.

Residents, businesses, schools, and community groups are now able to apply to make their own distinctive scarecrow. This year’s registration procedure lets participants pick where they want to display their work. Spaces will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, so it’s particularly important for people who want the best positions to sign up early.

To celebrate the event’s big anniversary, the organizers are putting on a themed scavenger hunt that will let spectators have fun with every scarecrow along the road. The hunt promises to be fun for families, friends, and people who want to do it alone as they explore Downtown Alpharetta, looking for clues and enjoying the imaginative displays.

People who come will also be able to vote for their favorite scarecrow. During the city’s annual Boo Bash festival, the winners will be announced and the local newspaper will print stories about them. Winners will not only get to brag about their win, but they will also get to choose the best position for the next year’s harvest, which will guarantee them an excellent display spot in 2026.

Event organizers are asking everyone in the community to get involved in some way, whether making a scarecrow, helping to put one together, or just going out to look at the exhibits. The Scarecrow Harvest has become a trademark fall event that attracts both locals and tourists. It features a mix of art, competitiveness, and seasonal charm.

People who want to know more about the scavenger hunt, including how to apply and take part, should go to the Scarecrow Harvest event webpage. The countdown is on to see what creative things will line the streets of Alpharetta this October as the city gets ready for the celebration.
