Atlanta, Georgia – Fulton County is celebrating Women’s History Month with a big art show that honors the creativity and impact of women artists from across the Atlanta area. The Fulton County Department of Arts & Culture is teaming up with the Emma Darnell Aviation Museum and Conference Center to put on “EmpowerHER: A Celebration of Women in Art,” an exhibition that features the work of more than 200 contemporary female artists.
The exhibition will take place at 3900 Aviation Circle NW in Atlanta within the Emma Darnell Aviation Museum and Conference Center. It features a wide range of artwork that shows the voices, points of view, and experiences of women working in the arts today. The works on display are from a wide range of artistic mediums, giving visitors a chance to see how deep and varied the creative expression is in the region’s artistic community.
The show will officially start with a public reception on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 6 to 9 p.m. The gathering in the evening will give people their first glance at the collection and also provide artists, residents, and arts supporters a chance to talk and connect.

The show will be open to the public until April 25, 2026, after the inaugural celebration. The organizers believe that the longer schedule gives people in the community several chances to visit the gallery and see the art all month long and beyond.
The day after the exhibition, there will be another event related to it that will be a highlight. On Saturday, March 14, Fulton County will hold a special bus trip that will highlight the exhibition and give people another chance to interact with the artists and their work.
County officials said that the event is meant to do more than just show off creative prowess; it is also meant to increase respect for the contributions women continue to make to the arts. “EmpowerHER” is an exhibition that brings together hundreds of artists to promote creativity and get people involved in their communities during Women’s History Month.
Anyone can come to the show for free. You can find out more about the event by visiting the Fulton County Department of Arts & Culture website at www.fultonarts.org or by calling 404-612-8600.
