Georgia – Georgia has hit a new high in world trade, with exports of more over $60.2 billion in 2025. State officials indicate that this number is 12.7% higher than last year, which is much higher than the national average of 5.6%. The spike has put Georgia back in the top tier of exporting states, where it is now ninth in the country for export value and seventh in total trade.
The Georgia Department of Economic Development and Governor Brian P. Kemp celebrated the milestone. They said that the state has now established export records for five years in a row. In 2025, goods made in Georgia were sent to 213 nations and territories. This shows how companies in the state are expanding their reach.
Kemp said that the consistent rise shows how strong Georgia’s logistics network is and how important small firms are that make and sell goods all over the world.
“Georgia has broken export records for five consecutive years, and these incredible numbers are just the latest testament to our great logistics industry and the thousands of small businesses across our state who have shown the entire world the value of a Georgia-made product,” said Governor Brian Kemp.
“With our coastal and inland ports continuing to grow capacity while we make key investments in other logistics infrastructure, Georgia is well positioned to break even more trade records in the years to come.”

Several industries continue to drive the state’s export economy. Georgia’s top exports were civilian aircraft and parts, followed by computers and hardware, motor vehicles, networking equipment, and medical goods. Canada, Mexico, Singapore, Germany, and the Netherlands were the best overseas markets for Georgia products.
Officials claim that the trade situation as a whole is just as strong. Georgia’s overall commerce in 2025 was more than $210.7 billion, a 5.8% rise from the previous year and again more than the national average. The state’s trade portfolio includes 219 nations and territories, which shows that it is a major gateway for trade around the world.
Leaders in economic development say that Georgia’s diverse economy and strong infrastructure are what keep the state moving forward. Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, which is widely recognized as the busiest airport in the world, is located in the state. The Port of Savannah is the largest single-terminal container facility in the country, and the Port of Brunswick is a key hub for roll-on/roll-off cargo.
Georgia’s rail and highway systems help international trade even more by giving businesses quick access to coastal ports from inland production areas. Inland ports and intermodal rail yards have also made shipping easier by giving people more options for getting their goods across the state.

The Georgia Department of Economic Development also has more than a dozen overseas representatives who work in more than 60 markets worldwide. These global alliances help Georgia businesses find new clients in other countries. Full-time representatives in these markets make up a considerable percentage of the state’s exports and trade activity.
