Fulton County, Georgia – Fulton County residents will have a new opportunity this May to bring home fresh produce while also learning simple ways to prepare healthier meals, as the Fulton County Cooperative Extension launches the Fulton Fresh Mobile Market for a limited summer-season run.
The program, offered in partnership with the University of Georgia, will take place from May 6 through May 22, 2026, at select senior multipurpose facilities across the county. The goal is straightforward but important: make healthy food easier to reach and pair it with practical, in-person nutrition education that residents can use in their daily lives.

No registration is required, removing one of the barriers that can often keep people from taking part in community health programs. Residents only need to attend one of the scheduled sessions. Each visit will include Extension education focused on nutrition, food preparation and healthy living, followed by fresh produce bags for participants while supplies last.
The mobile market will begin its Wednesday stops at 10 a.m. at the Harriet G. Darnell Senior Multipurpose Facility, located at 677 Fairburn Road NW in Atlanta. Sessions there are scheduled for May 6, May 13 and May 20.
On Thursdays, the program will move to the Helene Mills Senior Multipurpose Facility at 515 John Wesley Dobbs Avenue NE in Atlanta. Those sessions will also begin at 10 a.m. and will be held on May 7, May 14 and May 21.
The Friday schedule will bring the mobile market to the HJC Bowden Senior Multipurpose Facility at 2885 Church Street in East Point. Residents can attend at 10 a.m. on May 8, May 15 and May 22.
County officials are asking participants to arrive within 10 minutes of the listed start time in order to receive a produce bag. Because supplies are limited, bags will be distributed only while available.
Through the Fulton Fresh Mobile Market, the county is tying food access to education, giving residents more than a bag of produce. The program offers a chance to learn, ask questions and leave with fresh ingredients that can support better meals at home.
