Alpharetta reminds homeowners and businesses that city property taxes are due December 1

Alpharetta, Georgia – As December approaches, Alpharetta property owners are being reminded that the last deadline for paying this year’s city property taxes is near. Both residential and commercial taxpayers must submit their payments by Monday, December 1, to remain in good standing and avoid further penalties. City officials inform property owners not to wait until the last minute since paying on time helps make sure that things go well during what is usually one of the busiest times of the year.

Residents who want to ensure that their payment has been received can immediately review the status of their property tax account online. The city’s real estate tax portal allows homeowners and business owners to track their accounts, verify completed payments, and submit any outstanding balances.  The method is also available for individuals who still need to submit their payment before the December 1 deadline.

In addition to real estate taxes, Alpharetta urges business owners and individuals with taxable personal property that they must check their separate accounts as well. Personal property taxes encompass goods such as business machinery, merchandise, boats, and aircraft. These accounts are managed through a different online site, where users can examine balances or confirm that prior payments have been properly applied.

City officials highlight that the online tools are designed to make the process clear and accessible, decreasing the need for in-person visits and helping property owners remain on top of their obligations. With the deadline approaching rapidly, the City of Alpharetta asks households and business owners to take a moment to confirm their account status and ensure all payments are made on time.
