Alpharetta, Georgia – The City of Alpharetta is teaming up with the American Red Cross to host a community blood drive on Wednesday, July 23, 2025. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. inside the Community Room at 2 Park Plaza, offering local residents a chance to make a meaningful impact by donating blood during the heart of the summer season.
This effort comes at a time when blood supplies often run low due to decreased donations during summer months. Organizers hope that by creating a simple and rewarding donation experience, more people will step up to support patients in urgent need.

To show appreciation, the Red Cross is offering special incentives for donors. Anyone who gives blood between July 15 and July 31 will receive a Fandango movie ticket via email—valued at up to $15, including fees—perfect for catching a summer film on the house. Additionally, donors with Type O blood will be eligible for extra rewards: a $20 gift card for whole blood donations and $25 for those donating power red.

Those interested in participating can reserve a spot in advance by calling 1-800-RED CROSS, visiting RedCrossBlood.org, or using the Red Cross Blood Donor App. When booking, make sure to use the sponsor code cityofalpharetta to ensure your appointment is linked to the local drive.
