Donation bins open across Fulton County for coats, blankets, and winter essentials to help those in need stay warm this winter

Fulton County, Georgia – Fulton County District 5 Commissioner Marvin S. Arrington, Jr. has officially launched the 2025 “Blanket Atlanta with Love” Drive. This is a community-wide initiative to help people in need stay warm during the winter months. The annual campaign started on Monday, November 3, and asks people to provide new or lightly used clothes, blankets, and toiletries to help people and families who are having a hard time during the holidays.

This year’s drive shows Commissioner Arrington’s ongoing commitment to public service and compassion. For 12 days, many Fulton County government buildings will collect donations of winter coats, men’s and women’s apparel, ponchos, and other things people need in the cold. There will be collection bins at the Fulton County Government Center, which is at 141 Pryor Street SW in Atlanta, and the Fulton County South Annex, located at 5600 Stonewall Tell Road in South Fulton. Donations will be accepted at both places on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

On Tuesday, November 18, from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., the Fulton County Government Center will host a special dinner and distribution event to mark the end of the campaign. People who need them will get the donated products right away, which will not only give them warmth and comfort, but also a chance to connect with others and be kind.

According to Commissioner Arrington, the “Blanket Atlanta with Love” is more than just a clothing drive; it’s an opportunity for people in the area to join together and show they care about their neighbors. The initiative shows how important it is to be kind and stand together when the weather becomes colder, especially for people who are having trouble with housing or money.
