Fulton County, Georgia – For one week in October, Fulton County is putting the spotlight on employees whose work often happens one phone call, email or resident question at a time. The county will recognize its customer service professionals during National Customer Service Week, set for October 5–9, 2026.
The annual observance gives Fulton County a chance to highlight employees who help residents navigate everyday needs, from taxes and vehicle registration questions to senior services, complaints and language assistance. National Customer Service Week was first recognized by the U.S. Congress in 1992 and has since become an international observance honoring people working in customer-facing roles.
Fulton County’s Customer Service Division functions as a central information hub for county services and contacts. Staff members answer questions online and by phone, research and resolve complaints, help residents who need information in languages other than English, and provide communication services for people with hearing impairments.
The division also offers notary services for customers handling official Fulton County business.
“Our employees represent the true meaning of quality customer service,” Fulton County Manager Dick Anderson said.
“Customer Service Week is our opportunity to celebrate together by connecting with each other, showing appreciation, and giving back to residents and the incredible team here at Fulton County who works to serve them every day.”
This year’s national theme, “Going the Extra Mile,” will be reflected in activities planned throughout the week. Fulton County said employees will be recognized through events including pop-up activities and opportunities to win prizes through trivia games.
Customer Service Division Director Brigitte Bailey said the work reaches into many parts of residents’ daily lives.
“Our customer service professionals touch nearly every corner of daily life in our community,” Bailey said. “Whether it is a resident requesting information about vehicle registration, taxes, or senior services, our team works tirelessly to ensure that every interaction is met with an excellent attitude. This week is about publicly thanking them.”
The celebration will conclude Friday, October 9, with the Annual Customer Service Legends Luncheon. The invitation-only event will honor employees recognized throughout the year for high performance and exceptional service to both Fulton County residents and fellow employees.
