Fulton County Commissioner Marvin Arrington brings back annual teen hiring fair in South Fulton on April 11

Fulton County, Georgia – Fulton County District 5 Commissioner Marvin S. Arrington, Jr. is once again turning attention toward one of the community’s most important groups as summer approaches: its young people.

On Saturday, April 11, the commissioner will host the 2026 Summer Teen Hiring Fair, an event designed to help teens step into the working world and discover opportunities close to home.

The fair is scheduled to run from 9 a.m. to noon at Welcome All Park & Multipurpose Facility, located at 4255 Will Lee Road in South Fulton.

The gathering is expected to bring together teens eager to find summer jobs and a range of employers ready to meet them face to face.

For many students, it may be more than just a hiring event. It could be a first glimpse into professional life, a first interview, or the first spark of confidence that comes from being seen as ready to work.

Arrington said the fair has become an important tradition for his office and a meaningful investment in local youth.

“This annual fair, which gets bigger every year, shows this office’s commitment to the youth in our community,” said Commissioner Arrington.

“We are truly excited to partner with dozens of local professionals to help our teens find summer employment.”

The fair will give teen job seekers a chance to speak directly with potential employers about available positions in the area. Human resources professionals will also be present to answer questions, explain hiring opportunities, and help students better understand what employers are looking for.

In addition, teens will have the chance to interview with local employers during the event, giving them hands-on exposure to the hiring process in a setting built for learning and opportunity. Complimentary refreshments will also be provided.

Another key feature of the day will be the presence of the WorkSource Fulton Mobile Career Center. Staff on site will help teens register for the Career Compass Academy, an income-based program for eligible youth ages 14 to 24.

The paid virtual program lasts five weeks and focuses on work readiness, helping participants build practical job skills while exploring workplace activities in a virtual environment. For young people who may still be finding their footing, the academy offers a structured path toward greater preparation and confidence.

Organizers are encouraging the community to spread the word online using the hashtag #STHF2026. Students interested in attending should note that an RSVP is required. To reserve a seat, they must register in advance at the event link.

For teens looking toward summer with ambition, curiosity, or simply the hope of getting started, the hiring fair offers a place where opportunity may feel a little closer and the future a little more within reach.
