Fulton County launches fall Fulton Fresh Mobile Market with free produce and nutrition lessons

Fulton County, Georgia – Fulton County is bringing back its Fulton Fresh Mobile Market, this time with an fall edition that will bring fresh fruits and vegetables and nutrition information right to neighborhoods. Fulton County and the University of Georgia Cooperative Extension worked together on this project to make healthy food further available and teach people about the health advantages of fruits and vegetables.

From September 23 to October 9, 2025, the market will be open three days a week and will travel to different community facilities across the county. At each stop, there will be free fruits and vegetables grown in the area, as well as hands-on activities that teach people how to eat better and live healthier lives. The program is part of Fulton Fresh, a bigger attempt to fight children obesity by bringing together youth programs, farming, and family consumer science.

The mobile market will first stop at The Gathering Place Community Center in Union City at 10 a.m. on Tuesdays. Then, at 1 p.m., it will stop at William Walker Recreation Center in Atlanta’s Ben Hill neighborhood. On Wednesdays, there will only be one visit to the Welcome All Recreation Center in South Atlanta at 10 a.m.

There are two more visits on Thursdays. The first one is at the H.J.C. Bowden Senior Multipurpose Facility in East Point at 10 a.m., and the last one is at the Camp Truitt Education Center in College Park at 1 p.m. There will be no need to register in advance at any of the sites. Residents should come 10 minutes early to make sure they get a bag of produce.

County leaders say the market offers more than just a place to get food. The program’s goal is to get people to make long-term changes to their lifestyles by educating them how to prepare and consume fresh fruits and vegetables in useful ways. The mobile market is a useful way to improve health and reduce health disparities in Fulton County since it focuses on education and accessibility.
