Alpharetta, Georgia – Suzanne Swain, with her background in public outreach and love of community building, has been hired by The City of Alpharetta as their new Community Relations Manager. Aiming to deepen ties among the community and encourage local involvement in city projects, Swain is poised to spearhead Alpharetta’s civic engagement activities.
Swain has a solid foundation in public service and leadership that defines her career. She oversaw neighborhood programs and represented the congressional office in outreach projects as Director of Outreach for U.S. Representative Rich McCormick, prior to joining Alpharetta. Her reputation as a committed public worker has come from her hands-on approach and capacity to build relationships with citizens. City Administrator Chris Lagerbloom expressed support for Swain’s selection.
“Suzanne has earned a strong reputation for her dedication to public service and her ability to create connections within communities, making her an ideal fit for Alpharetta,” said Lagerbloom.
In her new role, Swain will concentrate on encouraging civic participation and providing opportunities for local government interaction among the people. Initiatives connecting residents with city projects, resources, and decision-making procedures are projected to be developed under great influence of her leadership.
“Alpharetta stands out for its good governance and exciting opportunities, and I’m really looking forward to enhancing the city’s influence throughout the state and region,” said Swain. “My goal is to build bridges within our community and encourage residents and businesses to take an active role in shaping the future of Alpharetta.
Swain’s dedication to community empowerment extends beyond her professional roles. She has a background in civic leadership; she is on the Board of Directors for No Longer Bound and a Rotary Club of North Fulton member. Through her work with TeenPact Leadership Schools, where she found her enthusiasm for civic involvement by guiding young people toward public service, Swain has also actively mentored future leaders.
Under Swain directing Alpharetta’s community relations initiatives, the city expects increased civic engagement. Her efforts should not only increase community involvement but also provide new ideas and viewpoints consistent with Alpharetta’s dedication to create a dynamic, linked, and proactive community.
