Fulton County, Georgia – North Fulton residents will soon have a chance to hear directly from their county commissioner as Fulton County District 1 Commissioner Bridget Thorne prepares to host a town hall focused on local services, ongoing work, and community concerns.
The meeting is set for Thursday, April 16, at 6:30 p.m., and will take place inside the new Health and Human Services-North building at 4700 North Point Parkway in Alpharetta.
Before the discussion begins, residents will also be able to take part in a tour of the facility at 5:30 p.m., offering an early look at a space county leaders say will play an important role in serving the area.
The event is designed to give people in North Fulton County a clearer picture of what is happening in their community while also creating space for direct conversation. Thorne is expected to share updates on projects and services now in motion across the county, respond to questions from attendees, and welcome ideas from residents about the issues they believe deserve attention.

Several major topics are expected to be part of the evening’s discussion. Among them are Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, the new Health and Human Services-North center, Senior Services, Public Health, and the Fulton County Youth Commission. Together, those subjects reflect a broad range of county responsibilities, touching families, older adults, young people, and residents seeking health-related support.
County officials say the town hall is meant to be more than a briefing. It is also being framed as a chance for residents to step inside the new facility and see firsthand what the county has built for the community.
In a statement, Thorne said the gathering would allow North Fulton residents to learn more about the services available to them while also witnessing the unveiling of the new Health and Human Services-North location.
“This is an opportunity to not only show the residents of North Fulton all that the county has to offer, but to also allow them to see the unveiling of the beautiful Health and Human Services-North location,” said Commissioner Thorne.
By combining a facility tour with a public conversation, the meeting aims to connect county government with the people it serves in a more immediate way. For residents of North Fulton, the evening is expected to offer both information and access, a look at county operations, a chance to raise concerns, and an opportunity to help shape the conversation around local needs.
