Alpharetta, Georgia – The Alpharetta Development Authority is reviving its job creation award program, meant to encourage local companies to employ city citizens, therefore boosting local employment. Announced on August 6, the continuation of this program over the next fiscal year shows a great commitment to support local economic development.
Originally started in 2013, the Alpharetta Jobs Creation Grant Program provides financial incentives to local businesses filling new roles with Alpharetta citizens. For every job offered, companies might get anywhere from $250 to $500; the position must be kept for at least one year. The initiative gave Fiserv, a worldwide leader in payments and financial services, $19,500; Primetals Technology USA, a metallurgical industry supplier, was given $8,000.
