Pickleball tournament set to take place in Alpharetta in April to support North Fulton Community Charities

Alpharetta, Georgia – This April, North Fulton Community Charities (NFCC) is planning to hold a Pickleball tournament in Alpharetta. The goal is to raise money to help families in need. On April 27 and 28, the two-day event will offer both competitive play and a chance to contribute to a noble cause.

The event will be held at North Park in Alpharetta. There will be both doubles and mixed doubles categories, and players of all skill levels are welcome. This initiative, in partnership with the City of Alpharetta, is a testament to the community’s commitment to supporting vulnerable segments of the population through innovative and engaging means.

Janet Dahlstrom, the community events manager at NFCC, was excited about the partnership and highlighted the chance it gives pickleball enthusiasts.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with the City of Alpharetta to offer a great opportunity for pickleball players of all levels to participate in a fun tournament at a wonderful facility while supporting vulnerable families …” said Janet Dahlstrom, community events manager.

The tournament has an entry fee of $45, which is a small price to pay for the chance to take part in a fun and noteworthy event. The NFCC is also looking for sponsors to help bolster the fundraiser’s impact. For more information, people interested for sponsorship can email Janet Dahlstrom at [email protected] or go to the website at nfcchelp.org/pickleball.

The North Fulton Community Council (NFCC) has a long history of helping people in need by providing them assistance in, food, and clothes. In 2023, the charity said it helped between 150 and 200 people every day. Over the past two years, food pantry orders have grown by 95%, demonstrating that the community needs help more than ever.

People who like sports will have a great time at this Pickleball event, which also shows how community efforts can help solve important social problems.
