Atlanta, Georgia – More than 15,000 bags of fresh produce have reached Fulton County residents since the beginning of 2026, and the effort to make nutritious food more accessible is continuing this fall. With one October giveaway already completed, the Fulton Fresh Mobile Market is preparing for another distribution later this month.
For residents looking to bring home fresh fruits and vegetables without adding to their grocery bills, the upcoming event offers a simple opportunity. Everything is free, the giveaway is open to the public, and no advance registration is needed.
The Fulton Fresh Mobile Market announced two produce distribution events for October, continuing a busy year of community outreach. While the first event has already taken place, residents still have another chance to participate on Wednesday, October 21, 2026.
The upcoming distribution will begin at 11 a.m. at Hillside International Truth Center, located at 2450 Cascade Road in Atlanta, GA 30331.

Organizers are inviting members of the public to visit the mobile market and receive fresh produce at no cost. The initiative is part of an ongoing effort to increase access to nutritious food while encouraging healthier eating habits across Fulton County.
The program has maintained a strong presence throughout the year. Since January, its team has distributed more than 15,000 bags of produce, reflecting the scale of the county’s food distribution activities.
But Fulton Fresh is about more than handing out groceries.
Operated through the Fulton County/UGA Cooperative Extension, the program combines agriculture, youth development, and family and consumer sciences education. One of its central goals is to help combat childhood obesity by encouraging families and young people to eat more fruits and vegetables.

The program uses hands-on educational activities to help participants better understand nutrition and the benefits of healthier food choices.
Residents attending Fulton Fresh activities can also receive nutritional education and participate in food demonstrations. These additional opportunities are designed to connect access to fresh produce with practical information about preparing and consuming nutritious meals.
The October 21 giveaway represents the remaining scheduled distribution for the month, giving residents another opportunity to benefit from the initiative before October comes to an end.
With thousands of produce bags already distributed in 2026, the Fulton Fresh Mobile Market continues combining free food access with education aimed at supporting healthier households.
