Prior to joining Alpharetta, he served Radford University as Director of Economic Development and Community Engagement. There he led a number of projects meant to deepen the university’s economic alliance with nearby companies. Specifically he helped Radford University for Economic Development set a coworking space and a regional testing facility called The HUB.
Jewell’s career has been marked by significant leadership roles, such as serving as the Managing Director at the Site Selectors Guild and as the Executive Director at Onward New River Valley. His efforts have always been directed on linking talent with opportunity, securing money for developmental grants, and fostering community development; so, his move to a key role in Alpharetta is expected to be of a great value.
Educationally, Jewell is prepared to take on his position; he has a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Radford University and a Master of Public Administration and a Graduate Certificate in Economic Development from Virginia Tech. Driving talent acquisition techniques has been mostly dependent on his leadership abilities; his work spans several industries including technology, manufacturing, and real estate development.
