Spalding County, Georgia – A major logistics expansion is set to reshape part of Spalding County, where Prime, Inc. plans to build a new Southeastern regional hub in a move expected to bring more than $160 million in investment and create more than 120 full-time jobs.
The project, announced by Gov. Brian P. Kemp, will also include the hiring of more than 50 professional drivers, adding another significant employer to a region positioned close to key freight corridors and customer markets.
The new campus will rise at High Falls 16 Business Center near Griffin, giving the North American transportation company a stronger foothold in Georgia while widening its reach across the Southeast. For the state, the announcement also adds momentum to an industry that already plays an outsized role in Georgia’s economy.

“Prime, Inc.’s new campus will further add to Georgia’s $107 billion transportation and logistics industry that creates and supports jobs in every corner of our state,” said Governor Brian Kemp.
“I want to thank the state and local economic developers who made this great project possible and the company leaders who chose the No. 1 state for business for this exciting new chapter.”
For Prime, the decision reflects both geography and long-term strategy. The company, which specializes in refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, hopper, intermodal, and logistics transportation services, operates more than 7,000 units with a driver base exceeding 8,500. Its new Georgia terminal is expected to support that network with modern infrastructure tailored to both operations and workforce needs.
“Prime Inc. is thrilled to announce growth of our company with construction of a new terminal campus to be located in Georgia, a state renowned for its strong work ethic, which aligns perfectly with our company’s values of dedication and excellence,” said Robert Low, CEO and Founder of Prime Inc.
“Spalding County’s strategic proximity to many of our top customers enhances our ability to deliver exceptional service, while also being conveniently located for the benefit of our fleet of professional drivers. This new terminal strengthens our commitment to support growth of our associates’ careers while meeting the needs of our customers across the nation.”
The facility is expected to include driver development and training space, equipment maintenance operations, and comfort amenities designed for drivers.
Beyond its core freight functions, the campus will also handle sales of used truck and trailer equipment and support tire recycling efforts that convert old truck tires into rubber material for mulch and pellets. Those operations already process more than 1 million truck tires each year, keeping them out of landfills.
Hiring will begin with positions for mechanics, driving operators, and facility maintenance workers. More information is available at www.lifeatprime.com.
