Atlanta, Georgia – A shooting incident on Sunday night in Atlanta’s Pittsburgh neighborhood was almost fatal for a local teenager, the Atlanta Police Department said. According to local authorities, a 13-year-old boy was transferred to hospital with injuries he sustained in a shooting Sunday night and his condition was “critical, but stable condition.” Police said it was a drive-by shooting that happened around 10 p.m.

The terrible incident took place while the teenager was walking along the corner of Fletcher Street and Sims Street. Because of the victim’s age, their identity was not released to the public. Local police confirmed they have a witnesses who saw the incident first hand and confirmed that a white four-door car pulled up next to the teen out of nowhere. There were several passengers in the vehicle who opened fire as the vehicle stopped next to the teenager.
EMS teams and police arrived at the scene minutes after the shooting and the victim was transferred to hospital after the initial treatment on the scene. His condition was critical, but EMS teams were able to stabilize the victim shortly after their arrival.

While the public is still waiting for more details about this almost-fatal shooting incident in Atlanta, the Atlanta Police Department confirmed they are in charge for the case as the investigation continues. There is still no motive behind the shooting and there are no suspects as of writing of this article, at least that’s what the police claims.
