Alpharetta announces holiday closure: City offices shut for Christmas, public safety departments working as usual

Alpharetta, Georgia – The City of Alpharetta has confirmed that its business offices and indoor recreation facilities will be closed this Friday and Monday for the Christmas weekend. Per the city announcement on Facebook, the city is closing these facilities so that its workers can spend valuable time with their families during the holiday season.

Alpharetta residents won’t be able to use these facilities for four days, including the Christmas weekend, but the city confirmed that critical services will keep running as usual. Police officers, 911 dispatchers, firefighters, police officers, and people who do work for the city’s public works department will still be working during the holiday. These hard-working workers will do everything they can to keep the community safe and healthy.

This means that even though the business offices and indoor recreation centers will be closed, important services like public safety and emergency response will still be available.

The City of Alpharetta usually shuts down these buildings and offices during big holidays. It’s part of the city’s larger plan to make sure that its workers have a good work-life balance while also meeting the community’s basic needs.

Local residents who want to visit these offices or facilities should make changes to their plans and use the services after the holiday shutdown. The City of Alpharetta thanks its people for their patience and cooperation during this time.

They also wish everyone a safe and happy Christmas.
