Atlanta, Georgia – Mayor Andre Dickens announced that Atlanta is ready to welcome the comeback of its beloved New Year’s Eve Peach Drop Festival. Featuring Atlanta’s own Big Boi, Neon Trees, RES, and other local musicians, this year’s festival promises to be spectacular evening of music and festivities.
A pillar of Atlanta’s New Year’s Eve tradition, the event is expected to attract a large number of people to the center of the city, so celebrating the cultural scene and continuous urban renewal of Atlanta. Mayor Dickens expressed enthusiasm about bringing the event back to Underground Atlanta, a location steeped in history and community significance.
“It is my pleasure to bring this beloved tradition back to heart of Downtown Atlanta during its truly historic and transformative renaissance,” said Mayor Dickens. “This event is a fun and exciting way for residents and visitors alike ring in 2025 like only we can in the ATL.”
Set for Tuesday, December 31, 2024, the festivity will start at 6:00 p.m.; the peach set will make its ceremonial descent at midnight. Every year drawing tens of thousands of participants, the Peach Drop is more than a simple celebration; it also marks a symbol of rebirth and joy for Atlanta residents and guests.
Ryan Cameron, a two-time Emmy Award-winning radio personality from Atlanta, will be emceeing the event and eager to engage the community during this unique opportunity.
“I look forward to again being up close and personal with 100K of ATL’s finest,” said Ryan Cameron.
Globally leading entertainment company Live Nation will host the nighttime celebrations to provide an outstanding experience for every guest. Big Boi leads the charge on the roster of performances, therefore highlighting the city’s diverse musical talent. Not just known for his top-charting singles but also for his charitable work, Big Boi’s participation is especially meaningful since it honors Atlanta’s rich musical legacy.

Supporting Big Boi will be the award-winning American rock band Neon Trees, known for their energetic pop anthems, and singer-songwriter RES, whose unique sound blends various musical genres. In addition to these well-known acts, local musicians will also perform at the event.
